23 Nov 07 Terry DiMonte bids farewell to CHOM, Montrealers and vice versa…

Well, on CFCF news over lunch Terry mentioned that he had received over 2100 emails in the last couple of days. There was quite a bit of emotion as he recalled being born in Verdun, raised on the West Island.. going to school at PC and finally John Abbott College.

There’s been a fair bit of coverage in the blogosphere – Adrian Speyer has nice recollections of the influence of DiMonte in getting into the communications/journalism field.

I always liked Mike Boone of The Gazette and he wrote a great piece in the Gazette today; focussing on how Terry was graciously leaving Montreal … “no daggers out“…

In that lunchhour interview with Todd Heydon, DiMonte did allude to the fact that the Q107 opportunity was truly a financial deal to not be ignored and … as his father told him, he had to “get beyond the emotional”…. and secure his financial future.
