M:BRGR started by 2 partners ; Lenny & Bruce who has the famous Moishe’s steakhouse in his family. This is a trendy burger, umm, joint and it looks interesting.
This stylin’ burger joint opened on January 15, 2008 (nice date!) was voted Best New Restaurant in the Montreal Mirror Best of Montreal 2008 survey of Montrealers’ favorites.
It’s located right downtown at 2025 Drummond near de Maisonneuve:
Mose spoke with JD, the executive chef… and look at these interesting burger toppings:

Well, after a lovely meal at Allo Inde on Stanley Street last night (spared the heartbreaking Habs loss to Philly) which included Chicken Bhuna, Balti Lamb, Eggplant Bhaji and more, I am just relaxing and watching Entertainment Spotlight… and Mose Persico and Orla Johannes are covering an interesting Indian resto in Park Extension on Jarry St. at the corner of Wiseman.
Malhi Sweets – so busy that the owner didn’t have time to meet with Mose … similar to Pushap, it began out as a sweet shop, but now Mr. Malhi focuses on full meals, including thali meals.
Note to web designer of malhisweets.ca – congrats on your PageRank 3, but kill the music that plays when opening the website… it’s very 1998.
They have a Tandoor, which on the show they refer to as a charcoal oven…
When asked by Mose if it was spicy, the response was “no, not spicy.” Too bad.
‘nuff said – congrats Mose – I’ll be checking out Malhi Sweets and Sucrerie, but for the lamb curry!

So it’s more one of his plugs and visits more than any sort of critical review….
Is it just me or does Mose Persico really have a penchant for specifically reviewing Italian restaurants on his Sunday night entertainment, style and fashion show….
I must admit that I am somewhat hooked on watching him since it follows the 6pm CTV local news and is on at 6:30pm – in time to squeeze in before 60 minutes or, in tonights case, game 3 of the Habs vs. Boston. OK, so Orla is a tasty side dish on the show
This week he interviewed Tony at La Griglia D’Oro… Mose was wearing a nice (and bright!) red shirt and had a nice run through the kitchen with Chef Tony and owner Joey.

It was a quiet Sunday evening while preparing for my trip to Ottawa and taking down some decorations from the Christmas tree and…
There is something I really like about Mose Persico, and I usually just let his Entertainment Spotlight show stay on the TV because it comes after the CTV Montreal News.
