Tristan (with his black jersey teammates) won the St-Basile-le-Grand soccer U8 semi-finals!
Well it was perfect weather; sunny and about 22 Celsius… the field was pretty much dry and the two U8 teams were VERY closely matched with only one goal being scored by the black jerseys well into the 2nd half of the match. There was plenty of action at both ends of the field, both offensively and of course Tristan did a great job on defense.

24 Jan 08 A Super Bowl Suite for $275,000 - or cheaper Super Bowl tickets for $5000
Well, a quick lunchtime post…. while eating and going over some bills, I came across these Super Bowl Suite for $275,000 at one of the aftermarket ticket sales sites. Recesssion and economic downturn? Yeah, right! Sure, that suite is good for 8 people, and is fully catered… so that’s only about $40-45K per person. Pricey, eh?
Thankfully, there are thousands of far more “reasonably” priced Super Bowl seats for $3000-10,000!
As Cuba Gooding Jr. said: Show me the money!
I’ll watch the Super Bowl online, or on TV and save my $5K for investing in hockey training for Zachary and Tristan. Better chances of high ROI in 10 years or so.

09 Dec 07 Zachary anticipating the next slide down the hill
Ahh the simple pleasures in life - sledding on the 35cm of snow that we received - priceless fun for Zachary, Tristan and papa for sure!
We were getting ready for run (roll?) number 3… both of us on the Bombardier Ski-Doo sled… (just a sled! … 2 people power)
Zachary was in pretty good shape hiking up the mountain, and considering that 30 minutes later he would be on the ice playing hockey at the arena!
