10 Nov 07 Kid’s Hockey goes on and… announcing the two furry friends
Well, both Zachary and Tristan enjoyed their hockey practices this morning - Zach was particularly on the game, and Tristan somewhat less so (much less so than his usually self) but was very happy after the mini-game about his nice defensive save against the other teams…
Now they are anxious to discover what the two “surprises” are here… those feline surprises don’t have names yet, although I have pretty much excluded the suggestion of “pee” and “pooh” as names.
Interesting, the kids are getting slowly accustomed to the value of things… and money.. and asked how much hockey costs in a year. 
20 Jul 07 Toronto Police Taser Chilean Soccer Players under 20 after brawl with referees with CBC video
Well… Tristan and Zachary playing soccer tomorrow in the (rain-soaked) fields… this story out of Toronto where police had to taser at least one of the U-20 (under 20) FIFA Chilean players… sketchy stories from all sides, although the Chilean government has filed a formal complaint against Canada for overly aggressive police behaviour.
Here’s to hoping that European style soccer violence doesn’t invade Canada… although our global reputation has changed these last few years, hopefully it won’t as far as sports go.
05 Jun 07 Montreal F1 fever … the 2007 Grand Prix is here…
So I sit and eat my pate de foie on toasted Russian bread for lunch… a quick lunch at home, and a quick note as I think about the Montreal F1 Grand Prix race which is in a couple of days. The media is already abuzz thanks to Eccelstone’s comments about the shoddy condition of our track facilities - more specifically the (small) size of the paddocks and the stands which are the same ones that he sat in 20 years ago when he was in charge of the Canadian Grand Prix.
De toute facon, en regardant les prix pour les billets F1, je réalise que j’ai vraiment pas les moyens… at least not this year!

Well, I really haven’t been following player or team details that closely - but since Toronto and Montreal are out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.. I think I’ll sign up for the eBay Canada Hockey Pool …US$7500 in pool prize money to spend on eBay mmmm….
