05 Jul 08 4 days in a tent with Tristan, Zachary and Oma - happy Mont Orford post-mortem
Well, we survived a lovely camping initiation for the boys (and Oma, who mentioned it was her 1st tent camping experience in 50 years!) at the superb Mont Orford national park… all the details to follow in subsequent writings, but suffice it to say that SEPAQ is a superbly run organisation from the website to the actual park.

21 Jun 08 Zachary donne son maximum au soccer … la course contre la fille
Eh oui, la saison de soccer est commencée, malgré que Tristan joue encore pour la ligue d’hockey…
Zachary a donné son 100% en tentant de dépasser une fille adversaire à Saint-Basile-le-Grand … un jour il va courir après la fille au lieu de courir contre… 
… mais bon, pour le moment, c’est mieux ainsi!

Well, it was a sweltering morning to play a bit of street hockey over at the outdoor rink and Zachary seems to be enjoying the Nile organic couscous and lentil curry.

Well, I finally decided on taking advantage of the lovely weather and doing a picnic lunch (instead of the usual $20-25 resto lunches for the three of us.
So after their swimming lessons, a quick run over to the adjacent park… some swinging followed by a nice simple lunch. Tristan, of course, wanted peanut butter on his sandwich whereas Zachary feasted on Double Fruit blueberry jam. They both had 3 sandwiches on that great pumpernickle bread, accompanied by Moishe’s dill pickles (the best ones!) …
Mmm.
12 Jan 08 How to remove crayon marks from walls / Comment enlever des marques de crayons sur les murs
Well, on Good Morning America on Friday morning, they had some cleaning tips for parents with kids. They mentioned that using a citrus-based cleaner worked wonders in removing crayon marks made by kids on walls. I will have to validate that at the country place where Tristan and Zachary made plenty of crayon artwork on some of the walls and it didn’t come off with Windex.
Alors, sur l’émission Good Morning America vendredi matin, il y avait des trucs et astuces pour nettoyer les dégâts fait par les enfants. Ils ont mentionné que les nettoyants a base d’agrumes faisait des miracles pour enlever des marques de crayons sur les murs. Je vais devoir valider si ca marche à la maison en campagne ou Tristan et Zachary ont fait en masse des dessins sur les murs et ca s’enlève pas avec le nettoyant Windex.
