Well, today is the day that Montréal gets to finally see the impressive Airbus A380 ultra-jet fly into town.
Anyone skyblogging this from surrounding aircraft on descent ? If so, some pictures or videos would be really nice.
I’m also trying to lookup if any live flight tracking information is available…
Lovely 6c degrees to welcome that majestic bird….
Ahh breaking – it’s an Air France jet just now arriving at Dorval…
530 are on board on the plane (full capacity over 800) which just landed on runway A24… and people have waited 5 plus hours…
Singapore Airlines is charging $5000 per one way leg from Sydney, Australia to Singapore…
It’s a $330,000,000 plane (!)
The air traffic controller on duty, Guy Bolduc, was there for his final day and final safe landing. He has been on the job for 41 years and back then a DC3 was considered big. He laughed saying that there is no other job that will pay you to look out the window.
He stays in shape by running marathons and plans to train for his first Ironman Triathlon.
Annie DeMelt (mmm) had a good report in the evening showing some video of the interior of the A380 and explaining it was going on to Orlando, then back via Trudeau airport before returning to Paris.
I definitely would sign up to be the first to introduce Annie DeMelt to the A380 Mile High Club…what a megalicious babe. On Fete Nationale Day, she covered Prime Minister Harper’s BBQ in Longeuil, she was wearing high heel shoes and a short tight skirt, the meat on the grill wasn’t the only sausage that was expanding in the heat.
@Jimy : How was Stephen Harper at the BBQ ? Or were you too Demelting ?
you two are sad, both need to get a life .
I hear she does not work at ctv anymore….
@ Red : Unless the change occured in the last couple of days, Annie Demelt is still working with CTV News in Montreal…
Have you seen her on the news lately ???
No did not think so …
She has moved abroad, that is what I have heard.
